Stationary Sick Day Kit

With cold and flue season hitting hard this year, and naturally everyone is taking turns getting sick, i decided to be a Doomsday Prepper and get ready with a regimen for everyone. This kit is designed for all the necessities, Kleenex, cup holder for tea/water, remote control holder, and of-course multiple medicine compartment holder.

I decided to make my Kit out of Oak, why? well i haven’t worked with Oak in a while and i completely forgot how nice it is to work with it. it’s tough, easy to work with, affordable and of-course beautiful.

The base and kleenex dispenser is 1/2″ thick material, and the dividers are 1/4″ thick.

You could re-saw your 3/4″+ material, but my re-saw bandsaw blade is dull, so the easy way was to plane the stock down to its finished dimension.

The frame for the Kleenex dispenser is glued using 45 degree angles, make sure to verify the angle is perfect using a speed square or any other tool that has a way to verify that angle.

Everything is attached using glue and tapers paint. This includes a-lot of patients, speed and of course tape. Get ready to check and re check all the angles that you set to glue.

For further instructions as well as detailed processes, see the attached youtube video below to follow along the build. if you have any questions, feel free to email or comment me your message.

Happy building.
